Sara Nickerson began her writing career working in television and film. Her first novel, How To Disappear Completely and Never Be Found, began as a screenplay that she adapted for middle-grade readers, which is probably why she gets letters from kids saying, “This would be a great movie!” Her second novel, The Secrets of Blueberries, Brothers, Moose & Me, earned a BCCB Blue Ribbon Award and was called a “classic summer adventure” by the New York Times. And her third middle-grade novel, Last Meeting of the Gorilla Club, was a Washington State Book Award finalist. Her writing has been translated into five languages and selected for several State reading lists. She lives in Seattle and enjoys long walks with her short dog.
