Heather Tomlinson writes teen fantasy novels featuring young women who are learning to use their gifts and make their way in the world.
A lifelong reader, Heather grew up in California and New Hampshire, graduating from Wellesley College with a degree in French. After teaching English in Paris, and French in the U.S., she worked for many years at a regional book wholesaler. That experience with the business side of books—ordering and returns, inventory and shipping, helping with sales, catalogs and trade shows—was a fantastic introduction to the world of book-making and bookselling. Living—and writing—on a sailboat for six years led to many new adventures!
Heather’s books include The Swan Maiden, Aurelie: A Faerie Tale, and Toads and Diamonds, which received starred reviews and was shortlisted for the Mythopoeic Awards in children’s literature. She now lives in New Hampshire with her husband and son.
Open to work for hire and IP work in young adult fiction.
