Zu Vincent writes novels, short stories, non-fiction and scripts. Her novel and narrative non-fiction book titles include The Lucky Place; Catherine the Great: Empress of Russia; and Stranger in His Own Land: A Japanese American in World War II. She lives in Northern California, the backdrop for many of her short stories, the most recent being “Beyond the Detours,” “Better Angels” and “We Three Kings.” A journalist and freelance editor, she holds an MFA in Writing from Vermont College of Fine Arts, and dedicates part of her time to teaching college level writing and literature courses to a diverse community of young adults.
