"With nods to archaeological adventures like Indiana Jones, Hannah’s journey features intermittent excitement and dips into intriguing myths and history." —Kirkus Reviews
"Funny and astute, the volume represents five minutes well spent." —Publishers Weekly
In this delightful Christmas picture book, Jack’s substitute teacher, Mr. Clausen, looks a whole lot like Santa Claus—could he really be Santa?
We are overjoyed to share some great news today: Lisa Schulman (writing as L. B. Schulman) has just accepted an offer for her debut YA novel: League of Strays. It tells the story of a mousy high school senior who joins a group of loners bent on seeking retribution for past wrongs, only to find that she may be getting more than she bargained for—especially when she starts falling for their leader, a charismatic enigma who might be hiding a dark past of his own. This is an edge-of-the-seat thriller that you won’t want to miss!
The acquiring editor is Tamar Brazis, and League of Strays will be published in Fall 2012 by Abrams Books for Young Readers. The timing for this was especially delightful, as Lisa and I got to meet up at the Mills College SCBWI conference this weekend and celebrate the sale in person!
