Someday there are a lot of great things to tell you about Phil Bildner's upcoming middle-grade novel—but for now, we're keeping most of them under wraps. So all I can tell you is:
—It involves baseball.
—It will be published by Wesley Adams at FSG (who also edited Phil's Rip & Red books).
—It will come out in winter 2020.
—Its genesis was unorthodox.
—It was sold on proposal, but even with just a few chapters to read, it made me cry.
So you're just going to have to trust me for now that there's lots of other fantastic stuff in the future about this book. And as always, having a new book underway is thrilling. Congratulations, Phil!
