Joy Peskin at FSG has acquired, in an exclusive submission, A DAD CAN, a picture book celebration of the complexities and joys of fatherhood co-written by former Ugandan street kid, NOW I AM KNOWN author, foster child advocate, and foster and adoptive parent Peter Mutabazi and bestselling author of BE KIND and adoptive parent Pat Zietlow Miller, illustrated by MOST PERFECT YOU artist Tamisha Anthony, for publication in winter 2027. Mutabazi was represented by Erin Murphy and Miller by Ammi-Joan Paquette, both at Erin Murphy Literary Agency, and the illustrator was represented by Anne Moore Armstrong at The Bright Agency in the deal for world rights.
