It’s a match made in heaven—which for me is a forest full of trees and tree hole homes.

Amy Hevron’s gorgeous textured and rich illustrations are perfect for Melissa’s expository nonfiction text, which beckons readers into the wonder that are trees. How many of us have tried to fit into a tree hole or peered into an opening in a tree trunk?

Ann Kelley at Random House Studio has acquired, at auction, world rights to Melissa Stewart's (l.) Tree Hole Home, a nonfiction picture book about various tree holes and the animals that inhabit them. Amy Hevron will illustrate; publication is scheduled for fall 2022. Tricia Lawrence at Erin Murphy Literary Agency represented the author, and Kirsten Hall at Catbird Productions represented the illustrator.

Congratulations, Melissa! We’re thrilled for you and Amy!
